The Chamber is fortunate to have business consultant Duncan Milloy, Ph.D., based at their office in Kirkland, who offers one-hour business orientation seminars the first Wednesday of each month from 1:30 to 2:30 PM in the Friendship Room at the Areté Center at 440 Central Way, Kirkland.

Since 2006, Duncan Milloy, Ph.D. has served as a business consultant to the city of Kirkland’s economic development program. He acts as a facilitator for Kirkland businesses that need assistance obtaining city permits, understanding and complying with city regulations and codes, finding suitable space for expansion and relocation, and learning what resources are available to business owners and managers to help their enterprises thrive in Kirkland. There is no charge to consult with him.
Milloy has more than twenty years of experience in management consulting, product management and marketing management.
He began his career as a management consultant in the Business and Marketing Strategy Group at A.T. Kearney in Chicago, IL. Milloy was an integral part of project teams that provided consulting services to Fortune 500 firms seeking market entry growth opportunities, merger and acquisition support and distribution channel management.
Milloy then joined the wireless industry with U S WEST Cellular in Bellevue, WA where he held progressively more responsible positions in service pricing, product management and area marketing management.
Milloy was recruited by Bell Atlantic NYNEX Mobile to be the director of marketing in Boston. While there he was the driving force behind winning the J.D. Power & Associates Award for Wireless Customer Satisfaction in 1996 and 1997. Milloy was then promoted to executive director of marketing for the New York metro market where he helped to achieve a back to back win of the J.D. Power & Associates Award for Wireless Customer Satisfaction in 1998 and 1999. Following the merger of the wireless properties of Bell Atlantic Mobile, Airtouch, Primeco and GTE, Milloy was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of marketing for the expanded Northeast Area.
Milloy grew up on Mercer Island and graduated from Lakeside School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Williams College in Williamstown, MA, a Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, IL and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Touro University International, an accredited online university based in Cypress, CA.
