The Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce
Welcome to the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce and welcome to our new, interactive website.
The most important aspect of this website is that it is responsive and available for PC, Mac, mobiles and other platforms. Please give it a try and see if you don’t agree. And, of course, it is a work in progress. As we hear from our membership, we will be adding more functionality over the very near future. Many thanks to Stephanie Dickson, Chamber board member and owner of the Web Mentor, for making all of this possible.
If you are currently a Chamber member, you are very well served by an excellent staff and board who are dedicated to giving you great value for your membership dollar. If you are not and are looking to be a part of an organization with a diverse and active membership, you really should consider it. The benefits are many.
For instance, our members benefit from recommendations of our public policy committee which are carried out by advocacy and representation in important matters relative to the business interests of our members, through our membership in the East King County Chambers of Commerce Legislative Coalition. Because the Coalition represents thousands of chamber businesses we have a great deal of influence with our state representatives.
Other committees and individuals working to represent your business at the local level are Economic Development, led by Ryan James and Rich Lerz, Kirkland Promise, led by Walt Krueger, which is looking to provide college scholarships to all Lake Washington School District students and Business Training programs, provided by Duncan Malloy. Besides important advocacy the Chamber provides with regards to legislative action, support of education and economic development, it sponsors many other events that provide venues for networking and fellowship.
We consider our stakeholders and the community to be Job One! So we welcome you to call on any of us if there is anything we can do to help you become more involved in and knowledgeable about the Chamber and the Kirkland Community. Please call on me anytime. You can reach me anytime at 425-349-2606 (business) or 970-404-0181 (cell).l
