AboutThe Kirkland Small Business Relief Fund
The goal of the Kirkland Small Business Relief fund continues to be a provision of immediate relief to Kirkland’s hardest-hit small businesses and small nonprofits in the form of unrestricted grants pending the release and distribution of anticipated federal and state aid.
The Kirkland Small Business Relief Fund will continue to stand up a series of funding rounds (tranches) and to disperse funds in phases as monies become available. Funding rounds will distribute available monies in equal amounts to qualifying applicants.
The Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce will act as fiscal agent for the Kirkland Small Business Relief Fund. It will manage all contributions. A committee of vetted community leaders will monitor the unbiased process regarding the dispersal of the grant.
At the end of March 2020, Google, The City of Kirkland, and the Greater Kirkland Chamber of Commerce, announced the creation of a Kirkland Small Business Relief Fund (Tranche 1). This initial seed funding of $250,000 from Google.org benefited 250 qualifying small businesses in Kirkland. We are happy to announce that we are now accepting donations for Tranche 2.
